What We Handle:
Our Villa Moving Process:
We assign 4-6 trained movers for villa relocations. Large villas have heavy furniture, multiple rooms, outdoor items, and sometimes maid’s quarters that need attention. Our team brings appropriate truck size (usually our 7-ton or 10-ton vehicles), furniture blankets, disassembly tools, and protective floor coverings.
Included Services:
Average Villa Move Time: 7-10 hours for 4-bedroom villa
Pede potenti ullamcorper morbi maecenas interdum cras massa.

Bab Al Fajer started in Mussafah, helping neighbors move. That was years ago. Today, we operate 12+ trucks and have a team that’s moved families from studio apartments to 6-bedroom villas across every Abu Dhabi neighborhood.
What hasn’t changed? We still treat every customer like a neighbor. Because in Abu Dhabi, reputation travels fast. Your cousin knows someone who used us. Your coworker’s friend moved with us last month. Word of mouth built our business, and we protect that trust every single day.
Our Residential Moving Team:
We Actually Live Here
Our team shops at Mushrif Mall. We take our kids to Corniche beach. We sit in traffic on Airport Road. When we say we know Abu Dhabi neighborhoods, we mean it. We’re not some call center routing jobs to random crews – we’re local movers serving our own community.
We pack toys carefully, label boxes by child's name, and set up beds first at the new place so kids can settle quickly.
That decorative plate from your grandmother? The crystal vase from your wedding? Tell us what's precious, and we treat it accordingly. Multiple layers of bubble wrap, separate boxing, extra care during loading.
Shoes off indoors when requested. Ramadan-appropriate scheduling. Understanding of cultural preferences for how items are handled.
No Surprise Charges:
We quote based on what you tell us. If you say 3-bedroom apartment with normal furniture, that’s what we price for. The final bill matches the quote unless you have significantly more items than described.
Questions Abu Dhabi Families Ask Us
For weekday moves, 3-4 days notice works for most situations. Weekend moves need 5-7 days advance booking because many families prefer weekends. Month-end periods (especially June-July when expats relocate) require 10-14 days notice due to high demand.
Early morning (7-8 AM start) works best, especially in summer. Cooler temperatures for our crew and your belongings. Also, traffic is lighter before 9 AM. We complete most moves before afternoon heat peaks.
Yes, we operate during Ramadan with adjusted hours. Early morning moves (6-9 AM) are most popular during this month. We complete the heavy work before midday heat and fasting challenges.
A typical 3-bedroom apartment move ranges from 1,500-2,200 AED depending on floor level, elevator access, distance, and whether you need packing service. Ground floor with elevator is cheaper than 12th floor with stairs. WhatsApp us for exact pricing.
Our standard rates apply seven days a week. We don't add weekend surcharges. However, weekend slots fill faster, so book earlier.
We accept cash and bank transfer. A small deposit reserves your moving date. Final payment is due after the move is completed and you've checked everything.
We disconnect and reconnect washing machines as part of our service. For AC units, you need to arrange a separate AC technician because this requires specialized refrigerant handling and electrical work. We can recommend reliable AC technicians if needed.
We guide you through the booking process and tell you exactly what to request from building management. The actual booking must be done by you (the resident) since buildings require tenant authorization. We've moved in almost every Al Reem tower, so we know each building's requirements.
We can provide temporary storage at our Mussafah facility if your new home isn't ready. Monthly storage rates are reasonable, and your items stay secure until you're ready for delivery.
Yes, we move plants carefully. During summer, we water plants before transport and avoid leaving them in hot trucks for long periods. Outdoor furniture, BBQ grills, and garden items are all included in residential moving service.
We lay protective coverings (thick cardboard or moving blankets) on all marble floors before moving anything. Abu Dhabi homes often have expensive marble that scratches easily. Floor protection is standard at both your old and new locations.
While we take extreme care, accidents can happen. We have insurance coverage for such situations. Report any damage immediately upon delivery, and we process claims quickly. In thousands of moves, damage is rare because of our careful handling.
All our crew members are background-verified with proper work permits. Many have worked with us for years. However, we always recommend keeping jewelry, important documents, and cash with you personally rather than in moving boxes.
We set up the nursery first at your new place so you have a functional space for your baby quickly. Many families prefer having grandparents or friends watch children during the actual moving day to reduce stress. We work efficiently to minimize the disruption time.
Absolutely. Partial moves are common. Maybe you're moving your teenager's bedroom to a new room, or relocating some furniture to a second property. We handle partial moves with appropriate pricing based on the actual items.
Expert Advice for Abu Dhabi Home Moves
Declutter Every Room:
Moving is the perfect time to donate, sell, or discard items you don't need. The Facebook groups "Abu Dhabi Marketplace" and "Expats in Abu Dhabi" are great for selling furniture. Donate usable items to local charities.
Book Your Movers Early:
Don't wait until the last week, especially if moving during peak times (June-July, December-January, or month-end periods). Good moving companies get booked fast.
Notify Important Parties:
ADDC (Abu Dhabi Distribution Company) for utilities transfer
Building management at both old and new locations
Emirates Post for mail forwarding
Children's schools for address updates
Bank and employer records
Order Packing Supplies (If Packing Yourself):
Need boxes? Carrefour and Ace Hardware sell moving boxes. You'll need more than you think. A 3-bedroom apartment typically needs 40-60 boxes.
Pack Non-Daily Items:
Start with guest rooms, decorative items, books, off-season clothes, and storage room contents. Label every box with room name and general contents.
Arrange Service Elevator (For Apartments):
If moving from or to an apartment building, contact building management NOW. Some buildings need 1-2 weeks notice for elevator reservations, especially in Al Reem Island towers.
Confirm Moving Details:
Call your movers to confirm the date, time, and any special requirements. Provide accurate gate codes, building entry instructions, and parking information.
Photograph Valuables:
Take photos of expensive items (TV, furniture, electronics) before the move. This helps with insurance claims if damage occurs (though rare).
Start Kitchen Packing:
Pack dishes, glassware, and kitchen items you don't use daily. Use bubble wrap generously for fragile items. Keep a few plates, cups, and utensils for final days.
Defrost Freezer:
If moving your refrigerator, defrost the freezer 48 hours before moving day to avoid water damage during transport.
Arrange Parking:
Confirm that parking will be available for the moving truck at both locations. Some Abu Dhabi buildings require advance notice or parking permits.
Pack a "First Night" Box:
Toiletries, phone chargers, medications, change of clothes, basic kitchen items, and important documents should go in a box that stays with you, not in the truck.
Be Present:
Someone responsible should be at both locations during the move to answer questions and make decisions.
Do Final Walkthrough:
Check all rooms, closets, storage areas, and balconies before leaving. Easy to forget items in storage rooms or on balconies.
Check Items at Delivery:
Look over your furniture and boxes as they're unloaded. Much easier to note damage immediately than calling days later.
Keep Movers Hydrated:
Especially in summer, offer water to the moving crew. They're working hard in Abu Dhabi heat.
Summer Moving Strategy:
Book early morning slots (6-7 AM start) during May-September. Move is often finished before 2 PM, avoiding peak afternoon heat.
Traffic Timing:
Avoid Thursday afternoon and Friday morning if possible. Weekend family traffic makes these times slower. Tuesday-Wednesday moves tend to be smoothest.
Building Rules Vary:
Downtown Abu Dhabi buildings have stricter rules than villa compounds. Ask your building management about:
Permitted moving hours
Service elevator costs (some charge fees)
Required deposits for potential damage
Parking restrictions
Villa Compound Access:
Get gate passes for your moving truck from compound security ahead of time. Some compounds require advance registration of service vehicles.
